Are we still connected to Nature? Have we forgotten that we are intrinsically linked to it, in all its diversity, intensity, beauty, generosity, meaning and harmony? Is the human race in the process of eradicating the extraordinary variety of living things, to the point where we forget that we are part of it and are thus contributing to our own demise?
anatura is an exhibition that questions our individual perception of the methodical destruction of ‘wild’ space. Humans find themselves naked, fragile and blind, in symbolic denial. And what about you?
“… It’s thanks to your eyes that we’re alive, said the girl with the tinted glasses, We’d be alive too if I were blind, the world is full of blind people alive, I think we’re all going to die, it’s just a matter of time, Dying has always been a matter of time, said the doctor, But dying just because you’re blind is the worst way to die, We die of illnesses, accidents, by chance, And now we’ll die too because we’re blind …“
